Bolivia has a sanitation problem. In the Bolivian Altiplano, they just received two new toilets in a school. One for the boys and one for the girls. Before getting toilets the children had to go up behind the school. Seventy per cent of the people used toilets for their intended purposed while the other thirty percent were using them for things such as grain storage. Only twenty-one per cent were using ecological toilets for what they should be used for. Thefirst sanitary aid introduced is clean drinking water. THe water is piped from springs or underground aquifers to in the village.
